Our History
Child Find Alberta is a charitable organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children. Incorporated in 1983 and funded primarily through individual and corporate donations, Child Find Alberta provides valuable resources in the prevention and location of missing children and works cooperatively with public agencies and non-profit organizations engaged in the area of child protection and advocacy.
Child Find Alberta is a member of Child Find Canada, a national network of charitable non-governmental organizations and is recognized by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Missing Children's Registry and the RCMP's our missing children program.

Through collaboration, partnership and advocacy Child Find Alberta will create safe environment for all children. In the context of creating safe environment and communities we will:

Utilize technology to support parents

Work collaboratively to build the awareness of child safety issues
Communicate our message of child safety

We believe that every child should be safe from harm
We believe that strategic partnerships will advance child safety in our communities
We believe that education is essential in preventing harm to children and eliminating child abduction
We believe advocacy will create better social policies to reduce child abduction
We believe children have the right to protection
We believe that parents need support in creating a safe environment for their families
Our Goals
To assist in the location of missing children - whether stranger abduction, parental abduction or runaway - and to reunite these children with their lawful parent or guardian.
To increase awareness of the problem of missing children in Canada.
To educate children, parents and our community about ways to prevent missing, abducted and exploited children.
To provide assistance and emotional support to parents undergoing the trauma of a missing child.
To refer parents to appropriate professional resources as required.
